Yvonne loves to create sculptures
that will seduce the viewer's eye, stir their soul, and entice the viewer
to touch. |

The
sensory joy of ones' experience from feeling a polished stone is something
no other material can provide. Yvonne carves the intrinsic details of
a particular subject without sacrificing the flowing, graceful lines,
which typify her style. |

| The art is a refined play. Life experience and the beauty of nature have an influence on Yvonne’s artistic work. While working on a carving, the world around her seems to stop while the energy fibers and the effortless creation progresses towards a sequence, which is extremely overwhelming to her. The shaping on a project is based on a series of progressions, such as visualization, realization and completion. |

Each
progression has its own state of mind but they all share a common creative
moment. These moments are the source of the outmost importance and highest
magic. |

| Yvonne
Hertach was born in Zurich, Switzerland in 1955, where she grew up with
her older brother and sister. Having older siblings forced this young
artist to develop her creativity and imagination, which became the outstanding
features of her life. Later came dreams of discovering the world. |

| In 1979 she left Switzerland and lived for several years in Mexico City, where she discovered the world's largest city. Fascinated by Mexico's history, its friendly culture and the creative artists with their outstanding craftsmanship, the intensity of many inspiring experiences left unforgettable memories and lasting friendships which grow to this day. It was also where her son and inspiration were born. Yvonne left Mexico for New York City
and a completely different collective energy. Boundless luxury, multi-cultural
communities, colorful and lively people, increased Yvonne's knowledge
and understanding of the people in this world. The hectic life was fascinating
to her, turning out to be another impressive and lasting experience,
thrilling and adventurous, allowing her to draw on these experiences
while working on her art. |

Her love of stone
carving began at a workshop in Walchwil, Switzerland. Yvonne encountered
the love and passion to express herself within this medium. The energy
to convey her concepts through stone sculpture was quickly apparent
when nurtured by the process itself. The primal and lasting quality
of stone, along with the emotional involvement gave her the incentive
to work and continue exploring with this medium. |

In 1999, Yvonne and a fellow artist converted a heritage barn into an artist studio where their love for art was shared with the local community. During the next two years they spent many hours sculpting with a great passion and developing an interest in establishing art as an exquisite form of communication. In October 2001 Yvonne quite her professional career and has devoted herself to her art fulltime. Communicating with other artists and her love for art has inspired her Web Site where she can sell great Canadian Art around the world.
