First Marble Project

It was quite a challenge, working with power tools on a piece of marble as heavy as 225 pounds – no way to move it around without assistance.

I would like to say thank you to Reto Marti, Sculptor in Vancouver BC, who let me be a part of his studio in Steveston as well as providing continuous support and training. He taught me the basics of using power tools, how to approach the project, and how to follow the procedure step by step. He also taught me the basics of natural science.

I am very pleased with the final piece, and have already forgotten all the blisters, muscle and back pain.
